How to Present Coaching Packages and Prices Online

Almost nobody publishes coaching packages online in Kenya. Instead you get one of three phrases.

Prices on request. Contact us for a bespoke quote. Investment discussed during your discovery call.

Almost every Kenyan coaching site says one of these, and each of them assumes the same thing. That a prospective client will make contact in order to discover whether they can afford you.

Very few do. They close the tab and check somebody who answered the question.

Presenting coaching packages online is mostly a matter of deciding to, then structuring it so the number lands well.

What Hiding Price Actually Costs

Leaving coaching packages online unpriced causes three things, none of them helpful.

The nervous ones leave. People who suspect you are expensive assume the worst and disqualify themselves silently.

The wrong ones enquire. You spend calls with people whose budget was never close, which costs your time rather than theirs.

Trust drops slightly. Withholding price reads as a negotiation tactic, and it puts a visitor on guard before you have spoken.

Publishing does not reduce enquiries. It changes their composition, which is what you actually want.

Three Tiers Work Better Than One

A single price gives a visitor a yes or no decision. Three coaching packages online give them a which one decision, which is a far easier question to say yes to.

An entry option. Short, affordable, low commitment. A single session, a short intensive, or a strategy call.

Your main offer. Where most clients should land, and where your best work happens. Make this the obvious middle choice.

A premium option. Longer, deeper, higher touch. It converts occasionally and it makes your main offer look reasonable, which is most of its job.

Three is the number to aim for. Two feels thin, and five creates paralysis.

What Each of Your Coaching Packages Online Should State

Vagueness in a package description reads as evasion, so be concrete.

How many sessions, and over what period.

How long each session runs.

The format, whether in person in Nairobi, online, or a mix.

What happens between sessions, including messaging access, exercises, or reviews.

Who it suits, in one line. This helps a visitor choose without contacting you.

The price, stated plainly.

Name your packages in plain language too. Foundation, Intensive, and Partnership communicate more than Bronze, Silver, and Gold.

Anchoring, Used Honestly

Order matters when you list coaching packages online. Presenting your highest package first makes everything after it feel smaller, which is a well established effect and entirely fair to use when the packages are genuine.

What is not fair is inventing a premium tier nobody could sensibly buy, purely to distort the comparison. Visitors sense it, and a package you would refuse to deliver has no place on the page.

Payment Terms Belong on the Page

Kenyan clients will ask two questions immediately, so answer both before they do.

Can I pay in instalments? For higher value packages, a split across the engagement removes a genuine barrier. State the structure rather than leaving it to negotiation.

Can I pay by M-Pesa? A clean yes matters. Our guide to online booking and payments in Kenya covers taking payment properly rather than by screenshot.

Publish your cancellation and rescheduling terms alongside. Doing it before somebody pays prevents an awkward conversation afterwards.

When Not to Publish a Fixed Price

Some coaching packages online genuinely resist a single figure.

Corporate work scoped per client, long consulting engagements, and anything where the deliverable varies enormously all fall into this category.

Publish a range instead, with a sentence explaining what moves it. Corporate leadership programmes from KES 250,000, depending on group size and duration, tells a visitor everything they need without committing you to a number you cannot honour.

Silence is the only option that helps nobody.

Common Mistakes

These are the errors we see most often on coaching packages online.

Burying prices three clicks deep. If the information exists, make it easy to reach.

Listing hours instead of outcomes. Six sessions describes the mechanism. What changes describes the value.

Pricing by the hour. It invites clients to shorten sessions and rewards you for inefficiency.

Too many options, which produces hesitation rather than choice.

No entry point. Without a low commitment option, every visitor faces your largest decision first.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I really publish my coaching packages online? In most cases yes. Publishing filters enquiries rather than reducing them.

What if competitors see my prices? They can already discover them by asking. Meanwhile your prospective clients cannot, which is the more costly asymmetry.

How do I price a first package? Start from what your time is worth against your target monthly income, then test. Raise prices as demand justifies it rather than guessing perfectly first time.

Should I offer discounts? Sparingly, and with a reason attached. Frequent discounting teaches people to wait.

What about free discovery calls? Useful for higher value packages. Keep them short and structured, since an unstructured free call becomes free coaching.

Can I change prices later? Yes. Honour quoted rates for anybody mid engagement and apply new pricing to new clients.

Publish the Number

Presenting coaching packages online is uncomfortable exactly once. After that it saves you calls, filters your enquiries, and makes the ones you take considerably easier.

At Africa Web Experts our own prices are published for the same reason. Websites from KES 65,000, with booking and payments included from KES 145,000, live in seventy two hours.
